i convinced myself, im grabbing this tomorrow at lunch and then playing the campaign all night. All other titles can wait. this is GEARS frickING 3!!

From what I remember...spoilers.....
We learn the Grubbs are really two factions in a civil war... And the lambent want to flood the queen... Jacinto is just in the way? I can't wiki it at the moment....

you learn about the lambent at the end of GoW2.
they're locust that got mutated by imulsion, which is the fuel source for all of Sera. Apparently the stupid bastards decided to bathe in the stuff.
Lambent and Locust don't like each other, why I don't know... Getting mutated by that shite makes you turn on your bros, for some reason.

I'm a little hazy about the queen, I never got big into gears lore. I watched a video that recapped the previous two games in about five minutes.
She looks more humanoid than any other locust I saw, that's for sure. Not nearly as scaled up and ugly looking. Apparently she and Marcus's dad have some sort of strange relationship. I'm sure they'll pull out that twist at some point during this campaign.

To anyone on the fence... I recommend getting gears2 on the cheap and giving the campaign a try...

It's the classic "enemy-of-my-enemy" set up. Kinda weak on the story when they introduced that twist.

yup, something tells me that there won't be any teaming up with the locust though. Maybe less emphasis on the mutual hatred while the lambent is ripping shite up, but no bygones will be bygones moment.
I think some of the COGs would rather die than do that. Dom is foremost in my mind.
