I don't see any way that this game is not at 11:21 or 11:30. The inside word is that Alleva is trying to pull a rabbit out of his hat and is in talks with the league office to make it a night game, but is meeting with little success. Barring a last minute unexpected decision from the league that would change things, expect the AM kickoff announcement today.

Rantard checklist of things to remember:

1) If the game is in the morning, don't blame Alleva. It is not his fault.

2) LSU's membership in the SEC has many privileges. It is a very lucrative deal for all involved. The occasional morning game is just one of the "you have to take the bad with the good" situations. Therefore, don't call for LSU to give the bird to the league. It sucks, but so does life sometimes. Deal with it. It isn't worth it on any level for LSU to tell the league to go frick itself because it tells LSU to play in the morning.

3) The SEC doesn't care that your tailgate is going to be messed up with the early start, therefore don't bombard them with letters and emails to that effect. Don't make the fanbase look like idiots.

4) Try to handle this with class. The "we are LSU, therefore we deserve night games" argument makes us sound as pretentious as Notre Dame. Nobody wants that.

Have fun and see you early on the morning of October 1 in Tiger Stadium

Is there not a possibility that this game doesn't get televised at all? (Tigervision)

Probably because he knows he's going to get a lot of emails bitching about paying $40 to park for 3 hours.

How does the pecking order work. I though CBS gets first choice (top two that weekend) which would be UF/Bama at night and then USC-Aubie at 230, that leaves SEC network with the third pick to choose between MSSt-UGA and UK-LSU. Right?

I don't even give a shite anymore. Get this game over with early, let me watch other games at my tailgate afterwards and I get home before midnight. Sounds good to me.

Dear God, please be a night game. This will be my girlfriend's first game at Tiger Stadium...really don't want her first experience to be a fricking 11:30 kickoff.

I could handle it if we don't have to turn around the next week and play Florida at 2:30. Really shitty for the fans IMO.

The SEC contract states that all league games will be televised somewhere. Tigervision can only be used once during the season for a non-conference game. The league/networks dictate all other TV.

I can't. I plan to rant and scream and stamp my feet. Then I'll drink.

any game not involved in the double header (and LSU/UK won't be) will start no later than noon.

first scheduled early game at home since 06. and second if you count appy state.

I stated in another thread yesterday that the Sunday paper (I know this doesn't mean anything) said 7pm. I would like for it to be a night game but I am still going and will be happy to be there if it is an 11:30 game.

I don't think we've played a 11:00 game since Mississippi State a few years ago, correct? We're due for one...

Yes that's pretty much how it works, but the thing is there can be no other SEC conference game on between 2:30 and the end of the CBS night game. So unless we magically pull out the 2:30 CBS game, we'd be kicking off early morning
