are they consuming some of the same substances that a lot of residents of the LP are know to make/consume?

do they actually think their offense is better than oregon's?

to paraphrase winston churchill: "don't they know us?"

they don't seem to get the concept that the chief had the defense practicing against an uptempo offense since the spring....

we know that wvu is going to come up higher than a livingston parish crackhead for the first quarter, we weather that and start pushing the ball down their throats and play our normal defense, game over!!!!!

their Offense is pretty sickly fast and quick. I fully figure our D to handle it though. Once we shut their ground game completely out they will be one dimensional in the pass game. I can foresee a few INT's Saturday night.

The game in Baton Rouge last year wasn't even close; we were dominant. Open up the offense, and let the defense smother them.

Hey Butch, go easy on the LP stuff. You do know where that spare BR is.

As long as we go in there, maintain ball security and play smart, we will be just fine. The only way we lose is if we beat ourselves.

really? last I saw they had 3 minutes and the ball down by 6. It was kinda like us an AU last year where we performed horribly statistically, but were in the game at the end...

You mustn't turned the game off at halftime, because their offense had no chance of doing anything in the 2nd half. We dominted that game.

Our defense is better this year than last year. Way better. The 2010 was solid at times, but they weren't in the backfield nearly as much as they are this year. In games where we didn't get pressure, we were gashed pretty good. UNC (missing half their team), Ole Miss, Arky, etc all put up way too much yardage on us.

This years defense is a whole new animal. We are deeper, better conditioned and way more aggressive. We don't rely on the big play as much and consistently destroy our opponents' offensive lines.

Same formula as always.
Make them look disorganized, beat em physically, sustain long head-cracking drives, win by nine points and leave the country saying "LSU aint all that".
Lather, rinse, repeat.

Exactly. Other fans (and even our own sometimes) don't get it. If you're up 10-0 in the third quarter and your opponent still has no net rushing yards, why would you start playing with long down field throws?

Miles coaches like his job depends on because it does. When you have that defense, you grind it out, get a TD here and a FG there, then let Chavis take over. It's not gimmicky, not flashy but it wins ball games.

If you have any experience with the WVU fan base then you know that they're cockier than our fans. And that's saying something. Our narrow victory over them last year has only fueled the fire.

Of course I would argue that the game last year wasn't as close as it appeared.

wemustignitethiscouch.com is their main one, but it's pretty sad. I've been over there doing some serious trolling and telling them how much they suck and they haven't responded well. They only have a few dozen fans online at any given time and you don't see any threads more than a few pages long.

They're all talking about how they deserve GameDay at their school and they feel how disrespected they are, yada yada. What's funny is how jacked they are after beating Maryland yesterday and how it's time for the rest of the country to finally give them their props.

One poster actually told me that their defense is as good as ours. I think he meant it, too.

The general feeling over there is that our D is good, but that we haven't seen their offense scheme before (which we have) and that our D hasn't been truly tested like they'll test it.

They also feel that their stadium is the hardest to play in the country and that a night game at WVU is harder than a game in the Swamp, in Tennesee, or any other venue in the SEC.

the MSU game felt like a replay of WVU last year. D totally shut them down in the second half and LSU just managed what they needed to do to secure victory
