LSU has it for tradition. Every player has ran through the posts since the 60s or so (remember it was a long time ago). Some kind of superstitious thing that they started a while back.

No, there was a stretch without the H style posts. They were reinstalled at the end of 93 for the Tulane game and the centennial celebration. The NCAA wouldn't even let us wear white for the game.
