Last I heard (during the game) was that it was a slight ankle sprain & he should be ready to go for WVU. Not sure if anything changed since Thursday night.

Spoke to someone with NHS ties that knows him well. Chris is fine. Receiving three treatments a day for ankle sprain. He thinks he will be ready for west va. Didn't come home to Slidell so that he could get treatments over weekend.

Btw it is amazing how good of an athlete Chris is. He is extremely coordinated and very quick. Big arse kid, but quick as a cat.

he is a special talent.... I was kind of impressed with how well Shaw filled in for him.

Glad he will be back for WVa

Ankle sprains linger. I wonder how much it will limit his mobility. Especially since he is a T.

Shaw played well but doesn't get to that second level like Chris does. Yeah I was worried too but I really think everything is good

I was surprised Shaw came in as the left tackle after he was out. He did well but I always imagined him at G.

Shaw's never played guard that I can remember. I often thought they'd try him there, but he's always been a tackle.

I did think that Davenport or La'el would come in at LT though, I'd not heard anything about Shaw backing up that side.

Yeah Collins wasn't quite ready yet. Shaw was the right move for that night

he was Ciron's backup at LT as a true fr. coming out of fall camp in 08. for whatever reason, they played him a handful of plays vs. App St and that was it for the entire season. then they never came up with an "injury" to get him a RS.
