Just thought I would do a quick comparison.

Jarrett Lee
C 40
Att 59
Int 1
Percent 67.8
Yards 444
TD 3
Long 43
Eff 144.4
Ave 148.0
Sacks 3

Matt Flynn
After 3 games (Season Total)
C 29 (202)
Att 46 (359)
Int 0 (11)
Percent 63(56.3)
Yards 345 (2407)
TD 2 (21)
Long 56 (71)
Eff n/a (125.76)
Ave 172.5 (200.6)
Sacks 5 (26)

*Note: Flynn DNP against Middle Tenn State so his stats are after 2 games (MS State and Va Tech)

I think that Lee's Eff is impressive as well as his completion percentage. With our running game, if he just plays as he has been playing, we should be fine

If Lee had this defense in '08 I'm not too sure we would have ever seen Jefferson take a meaningful snap.

I posted it earlier, but there was a good write-up about JL this morning. Don't know how many people saw it. Got pushed down pretty fast.

Really can't compare Lee and Flynn IMO bc Flynn has a "running" aspect to his game that Lee does not.

Bingo. Enormous pressure on the offense that year because BDP and Mallory are two of the worst coaches in LSU history. None of that happens if Pelini is still there.

He may not be flashy or put up gaudy numbers. He may not even complete half of his throws in a game. But when LSU breaks the huddle, there is no question who the leader is. He’s right there. Number twelve. And he’s been there for four years waiting for this opportunity.

The percentages are helpful, otherwise, yeah, You'd have to think Flynn's would have been higher.

Regardless, I think Lee is going to do some great things this season.

I was just making this comparison in my head this morning. Thanks for the stats. Lee looking real good as game manager. Nothing flashy. Just getting it done.

Love Lee but he's got to try and get a few yards when the pocket breaks down instead of just folding up.

Keep it up Lee you're getting better every game and the coaches are letting you throw on first down. We've not seen that in years, Thanks!!

Lee looked outstanding, fuk the haters. I know the bandwagon is growing, but haters still exist.

Lee threw early and often, and one can tell there is a renewed sense of confidence in him by the coaching staff. On first down from the LSU five yard line—traditionally a running situation for a team with a questionable quarterback—Lee slung a 31 yard strike to Randle from his own end zone which indicated that he is no longer just the caretaker of the football.

......and think how good Lee would be now if this was his 4th year starting.

I'm still nervous with Lee under center, but he's performed well so far and is definitely deserving of praise. We're going to need him to step up and make some big plays for us at some point in the season. He did it last year coming off of the bench, so I'm pretty confident he can do it again when the chance arises.

Lee takes up all the way, baby!!!

Lee needs to get that INT off his back and so does Miles and staff, after he threw that pic last nite Miles and staff lost confidence in him right away, going back to running the ball even on third and 5 an obvious passin down.

can't do that, you have to have confidence in your QB to go back to having him pass. It's good for his confidence.
