Can't complain too much about last night, BUT! he's inviting interceptions with that "butterfly" style of his. Touch is good sometimes but not ALL the time. Seems like the ball stays up forever. Met, on the the hand, puts more mustard on the ball, thereby decreasing the chance of a pic and increasing the chance of a catch in those narrow completion windows. I also thought his touch/timing was spot on for those swing passes.

He absolutely is a sitting duck back there and unable to avoid the rush.
That sack down to the 1 yard line was right in front of us. He froze and just went down hard.
And that is why Miles went with JJ over JL.
It is what it is. He has done well and had minimum mistakes.

He had nowhere to go, they were on him as soon as he got his body turned around. He took the sack because that's what you do in that situation.

If he forced a throw in that situation.. it probably goes back for 6.

Maybe but he just froze. Never even tried to step up or avoid the sack.

And you are correct, better to take the sack than force a throw. However, even when he can step up in the pocket or run, he does not move.

The SEC teams will stack the box and be all over him with the pressure.

Does not mean we will not be ok.

Just the way it is.

he had TERRIBLE pocket awareness on that play. could have easliy stepped up. PLenty of room.

He choked when he saw the guy. Deer in the headlights, comes to mind.

He has done very well in the 1st 2 games.

SEC play starts this week and then WVU. Let's hope he continues steady play with few mistakes.

Let me guess. The next time he throws an incompletion, you'll be the first to scream "Put in Mett!"

Agreed. A guy who will play on Sunday's(Their corner) made an SEC style play off the corner. Yes JJ has better feet but I'm pretty sure his sacks taken per play ratio is no better than Lee's.

That's just stupid. The DE was left unblocked and had a clear path to JL. He was on JL like stink on shite. No way JJ, JL or Usain Bolt would be fast enough to avoid that sack.

Did Florida, Tenn, and Alabama play in the SEC last year???

JL completed 9 out of 10 with 1 TD and you still find something to talk about him.

Don't worry. Lee won't be here next year to hear you to bash about him. Y'all haters will have both JJ and Mett next year, just wait.

Haters will always be haters.

Lee was spot on accurate Saturday night and as long as he continues to do it, i could care less how he does it.

But.

I swear he has about 3 different deliveries, 2 of which look awful. One cant help but wonder if its sustainable.

He won't be back there much longer this season if he don't start stepping up in the pocket or throwing it away.
