Building a PC; Windows question

I'm building a PC and want to avoid paying for windows. I get it free through LSU but it doesn't come on a CD(that I'm aware of). Is it easy/possible to download windows on my laptop, burn it to a cd, then install from there? How do I get around the security key?

Don't bother getting Windows from LSU, it needs to be reactivated every 180 days.
I suggest you find a cracked retail torrent of windows 7 64-bit and use that.

if you are good at that shite it should be easy. I tried getting W7 on my laptop for 2 years when I was at lsu and it never worked for me.

Bro just built a new PC and didn't get an optical drive for it. Used a laptop to copy the software to a flash drive and install from that.
So you could do that method if you have a flash drive large enough.

It's something new LSU does because of all the abuse that went on with licenses. People get the keys and put them on multiple computers and it was costing LSU too much money. Therefore we have 180 day limits on them now so I don't even frick with that shite anymore.
I can't give you a link because of forum terms I'm sure, but you can find copies of Windows 7 with cracks that activate it and allow you to update. It's how I got ultimate on my laptop.
