98 yards passing and ~270 total offense. Not much difference than last season.

Special teams and defense won it, just like last season.

If this was a JJ led team, there would be 500 threads talking about how he didn't throw for 100 yards.

Great game.

you cant rack up yards when you start in opponents territory

they scored on all the turnovers. You cant ask for more

We never seemed to find a good rhythm. But let's not forget that this was the first game of the season and we were playing the number 3 team in the country. It will get better.

40 points is pretty good offense.

I agree that the offense didn't play to the level of the defense, but they did what they had to do. We did have a short field quite a few times, so it is hard to generate a lot of yards. Nevertheless, I'll exchange the 40 points and a win for 500 yds and a loss any day.

Take away that holding call and some drops, and Lee has 175 yds passing...

It was the first game, there's going to be issues and mistakes especially when you play a top 5 team. I'd rather wait and see what the next two weeks look like, see if there is improvement before I start freaking about a 2010 Offense repeat.
