Why wait for the movie when the Trailer tells you everything. The Double (2011)

At first this movie looked pretty good. The plot description reminds me of The Sentinel with Michael Douglas. But as the trailer goes on, it reveals major twists you would think should be a mystery until the movie is released. thoughts...

I hate when trailers do that. It's one of the dumbest things Hollywood is doing now. I wonder if there is some sort of separate marketing firm that comes up with the trailers.
Comedies are the worst at this. Paul Blart had this issue. They marketed the crap out of that movie and showed EVERY funny part of the movie in the trailers. By the time we saw the movie, I hardly laughed, because I had seen every funny part 50 times already.

and that movie made an obscene amount of money, so it probably won't stop. not necessarily the trailer issue, I just mean Kevin James existing in general

Looks good, though. Still kinda want to see it.

Surely there's something else to the movie, I find it hard to believe a movie studio would be THAT dumb.

Yeah, I have a feeling it's not that big of a deal...sort of like one of those movies where they let the audience know right away but the characters are too dumb to figure it out. There's more to this.

I correctly guessed the entire movie "Red" based on the trailer. You can even figure out the ending.
By the way I am talking about the Brian Cox movie not the more recent film of that name.
The trailer for The Italian Job gives away a moment that would have been a shock at least for me. That trailer spoiled way too much.

Iron Man II gave away the money shot in the trailer.

I will never forget quarantine, what a stupid fricking trailer.

I don't like the trailer for Warrior. "And the finalists are two brothers!"
You know that fight won't happen until like the last 10 minutes of the damn movie, but it's already been set up.

Yep, definitely more to this. I think Gere doesn't make the opening kill that brings him out of retirement. Topher does...
