Was he injured last night on the shot he took to the ribs?

All I know is, if it's an important game, he better stretch his arse out and make that catch.

I completely understand protecting yourself in a preseason game. But if it's the second game versus the Bucs or the Birds and the Division title is on the line, he's not getting paid to puss out.

What Would SHockey Do?

He would catch it, then miss the next 6 games with bruised ribs.

Stretch out, catch the TD, then be out for a month with a rib injury.

EDIT: Me & notiger on the same wavelength!

I'm pretty sure he didn't completely puss out.
That ball was a little off target.

Does anyone really feel he could actually catch it? He stretched out one arm and barely got a hand on it. I swear, some of you have this otherwordly expectations of our receivers. First Meach, now Jimmy.

ETA: Drew missed that throw.

No he didn't get injured........His left arm protected himself........he did get the wind knocked out of him and then Sean Payton had seen enough.

Jimmy Graham's salary:

$405,000.

Tube of construction adhesive:

$5.

Making an endzone catch better than Jimmy Graham:

Priceless.

I'd rather have Drew overthrow Jimmy or throw it away that for him to turn it over in the red zone. I'm fine with that play. It's being aggressive while at the same time being safe.

What is wrong with you people. Graham had a great game with 5 receptions - a couple were really impressive.

Drew gets it a foot or so lower and it's a TD. He was inside the CB. It's just that every one assumes it's the receiver's fault when the catch isn't made. Drew makes mistakes from time to time.

I liked how Brees looked last night, though. Get me feeling a lot better about our offense.

ETA: I'm seeing a Romo/Whitten style relationship happening with Brees/Graham....except without the backwards ballcap and the lack of championship pedigree.

I don't know why, but it reminds me of this guy I knew. When he was playing Madden, he would start dogging the "player" when he didn't catch the ball in triple cover. It went along the lines of so-and-so "you're done!" Me thinks he just sucked at passing. I don't know why I thought of that.

Think back on Lance Moore's 2 pt catch in the SB. Amazing play, but no one remembers that it was a crap throw by Drew. He puts it where it needs to be, Lance trots in by the pylon. It happens occasionally.

Yea,, If Jimmy stays healthy, the sky is the limit with this guy. I'm glad he's on my team!

Brees does make bad throws, but a lot of the times he throws where only his guy can get it, and it looks like a bad throw. He's essentially throwing his guy open. Brees is really good at that.

What impressed me last night was the throw to Devery on the first drive. He was covered well, but Drew just dropped it in his lap. Devery didn't have to even reach out for it.

Are you saying Saints should start working out with this to catch the ball?
