How to massage out a "pop" knot (muscle)?

Hi,
Upper-thigh "front" muscle over femur has a knot. How can I get rid of it? I do not dare ask this on the OT, especially considering how close the knot is to the genitals.

I am not scared of the OT at all. I find it amusing. I just thought that I would come to a place that generally has a better info:nonsense ratio.
