It was reported in the Minneapolis StarTribune today that a Broncos official said that former Minnesota Gopher QB Adam Weber has looked better in training camp than Tim Tebow. Weber was not drafted and signed with the Broncos as a free agent. I watched Weber his whole career and he didn't have one-tenth of the college career Tebow did. What gives with Tebow? And if Newton somehow falls this far how many people would be jumping all over him like they did with J. Russell? Why aren't people laying the wood to Tebow for being a bust?

IMO he just needs more time. He has great work ethic and heart. His ability was always better than anyone around him and now he is matched. I still believe he can make it but it will need to be the right system in place.

Thing with Tebow is no matter how hard people try there is really nothing you can say about the guy...he is a good player with a lot of heart and puts forth effort no matter what...people need to leave Tebow alone. He is a system football player and must be in the right system to be properly utilized.

Am I the only one that feels that all this doubting of Tebow and giving up on him is setting up to be epic when he makes all these dumbasses eat crow. I mean anybody that doesn't think Tebow is gonna be successful just hasn't been paying attention. He feeds of his critics and he has a bunch of food. I can't wait till he starts whipping peoples arse!

Jamarcus and Newton = #1 picks
Tebow = Not #1 pick

Jamarcus and Newton being "busts" would be a much bigger deal because they were drafted #1

I don't think Tebow will do anything in the NFL, but damn you're dumb. How can TT be a "bust" yet? He started how many games last year? How many wins? What is he so far during this preseason in very limited action, 7-9 100+ yards? How is that a bust?

And a 1st round qb can never be as big of a bust as a #1 overall pick qb.....so he will never compare to JR in that regard.

It isn't that surprising that he has fallen under this coaching regime, they didn't draft him so they aren't nearly as high on him as the last group. He'll get traded and be alright.

Send him to the Phins. He can run the wildcat, and will bring that franchise a shite ton of money.

Aaron Rodgers was drafted in the 1st round (24th overall and was in the NFL 3 years before he started his first game. Just saying.

the expectations the media is putting on this guy are fricking ridiculous.

i heard a radio host yesterday say he'll never play another snap in the NFL. are you fricking kidding me?! the guy is 24 and in his second year in the league!!

Probably because Josh McDaniels was the only person on planet Earth who thought Tebow should be a first round pick in the first place.

All of these replies just further prove my point. All responses have been positive. I'm not ready yet to write him off, but it's amazing how an average Big 10 QB in his first year can be more impressive than one of the greatest SEC players of all time.
If Cam has the same exact start to his career as Tebow, the bashing will be through the roof. Yet, everyone says Tebow is a good guy, he just needs the right system, blah, blah, blah. I know Cam and Russell were overall #1 picks, but Tebow was a first round pick. At this point it doesn't look like he will ever be a productive NFL QB. As for the Rodgers comparison, the reason he didn't play his first couple of years is because he had a Hall of Fame QB ahead of him. The Packers loved him the whole time and even traded Favre to pave the way for Rodgers. Tebow can't beat out Orton and even his receivers aren't backing Tebow and want Orton to be the starter.

How many actually thought he was going to be a star NFL calibre QB? I know I and many on this board had doubts.
