Yesterday, my favorite CF message board WeAreSC.com was laid to rest.
The evil empire ESPN bough the site, killed it, and re-opened it as an ESPN message board. And it BLOWS. It's slow, user-unfriendly, and as bland as a girl from Big Ten country. Now you can't...

Have an avatar with any sports teams, celebrities, or copyrighted pics....so all you see is a lot of avatars of people's dogs. I can't even have an SC logo as my avatar. WTF?!?!

For God's sake, someone tried to post about how an SC player was starting named "Ross Cummings". But it showed up as "Ross @!#$%!".
Espn has to clear every post. And there are no post counts!
frick espn more than ever. frick them for many, many reasons, but frick them especially for killing something I loved.
At least I still have this place.
So kudos to this site and all it's moderators for making this the most fun sports boards on the interwebz. You guys do a fantastic job here.
And to all of Tigerdroppings' users, take a moment to reflect on the sheer awesomeness of this place and what you would do without it.
And NEVER EVER take this place for granted.

This whole site is great, and there are still a few posters here who are obsessed with USC enough that I can still get my USC news.

It was if you weren't signed up for it, that was the beauty of the place. It kept out enough trolls who wanted to just pop in and post stupid shite. Once you signed up (for free) the format was almost exactly like to this place.
But yeah if you just popped over there without a username it looked like garbage.

The 247 message boards are even worse IMO. They've killed a number of really good message boards and the format is absolutely unreadable. It's just awful.

Most times, your post just doesn't show up. It's TYRANNY I tells ya! And if it does, you get banned. The old WeAreSC was great in that it took a lot, I mean A LOT to get banned. Like way over the top bordering on criminal type stuff. Now with ESPN's site, say one bad word about Craig James and you could be done.
So, yeah I'll be around here more often. But I'm not a troll or anti-LSU at all so don't be scared. I just like my college football.

Agree'd. Hopefully someone can step up and make that happen. I can't see the old posters feeling the need to have loyalty to ESPN. Hopefully will be a smooth transfer to a new board with an even more up to date forum.
