Just curious on if some of the fare weather fans will pass on the game...if suspensions ensue. Does it devalue the top 5 matchup that people were hoping to see...especially from the corporate fat cats who were just going for the grandeur that is Jerryworld and such.

With all of the negativity I was wondering if it generates more or less (or no change in) interest in Oregon game.

And, yes I will buy anyone's tickets who are deciding not to go.

It's a huge f›?€›‡?·°‚°‡‡·‚—°—‚·ing distraction. I'm praying the team can put this out of their minds.

I will still and always love my team but I will not be able to cheer for the team this year if these kids are truly guilty of these crimes, such as kicking someone in the head "soccer style", and are allowed to stay on the team.

In fact, how does one cheer for any Miles coached team if he does not kick them off the team?

And can someone tell me why the police are not questioning these guys until Monday? Would you be able to get away with that?

A bit ironic. I remember a few months ago some people (mostly Rantards) were talking about the LSU curse because of UNC last year and WVU and Oregon this year. Now all of a sudden we are having all this shite go down and there are looming distractions for the Tigers. There is no doubt that they would be better off if none of this had happened, but I think they will still be prepared.

I went through all this Damm trouble to get tickets and I really don't want to go. This will be a huge distraction and I can see us loosing this game now. Mett is not ready yet and Lee is suspect. This is fu king devastating.

I agree everyone will be watching. But, right now tickets are going for $300-1000. Will that change? I know any real college sports fan will still want to see this matchup.

edited for typo.

I am just curious, are you a woman or just someone from California?

Demand from Lsu fans should drop considerably. With no Jefferson and the huge media circus we will drop this game and who wants to drive all that way to see a loss? I am disgusted. I gave miles a lot of credit for keeping the program crime free.

we don't know that. If JJ is suspended...and that's a big IF...JL now has less than two weeks to prepare as the starter. We know that they script the first several series (at least with Crowten). Lots of game changing. Will they do it wil Mett, too? My point is that the timing of this incident is terrible now that it involves changing the lineup.

Yes, JL should always be prepared to be ready to go.

I will say that Miles' comments impressed me. He seems truly hurt that his players could have done this to their teammates and their coach. He's making them pay for it.

I feel bad that this is happening to Miles. I also the think the majority of the players will feel the same way, they all love him, this might fuel the rest of the players to work even harder for him and the rest of the coaches.

That is my hope as well. The team will try to rally around the coach that they all see as a father-figure.
