With only two weeks to go before the Oregon game, I can really see the team and even the coaches struggling to focus on a gameplan with all of this happening. You can bet Oregon is eating this up and will be focused come kickoff to pour salt into our wounds.
Bottomline, I feel we are in trouble if someone doesn't step up and show some real leadership here and get this team focused

Who are the players that can pull this team back together and get them back mentally on track for the Oregon game? Or will it be Miles and staff that will pull this team together and give a speech of a lifetime and have this team ready and focused for a very good opponent?

The players rally behind Miles. They love him.

I agree (if he's allowed to travel). If not, then who the hell knows?

probably wishful thinking, but it could be a blessing in disguise imo.

if everything turns out to be true then JJ would never of had the maturity to lead us to the MNC.

Jlee, while he has had his problems on the field, has always been a guy who's put the team first.

This is where we really miss someone like Ridley or Kelvin Shepard in the locker room. It'll have to be Miles.

Its a primetime game against one of the best teams in the country. Their is no need to "rally" the players.

the team will go back to work....well, they have already and put this behind them. Do realize there are MANY young men that had nothing to do with this and will sink themselves in preparations. Also, this is 2 weeks removed from the game, so that helps.

What does kind of suck is the tight arse noose these dumbasses created for all the kids who do the right things. Les will have everyone on lock and key.....

Good % of them apparent have no respect for Miles, their teammates or LSU otherwise, the 15 to 20 of them breaking curfew would not have been colluding to violate team rules.

I can't help but this what a great story it'd be if JL had a solid enough year to lead us to the SECCG and beyond. Kid could write one helluva book about overcoming adversity.

Lord help JJ if he is able to play and performs poorly now. He'll be crucified.

Just because they play football at LSU dosent mean they deserve special treatment. Release the crew who "broke curfew" and were involved in the fight.

You want to rally the team, teach the a greater sense of responsibility ad purpose. This is really bigger than this team or this season.

Jefferson will sit the season. Without his leadership were in big trouble. His legs make him a good weapon. Meet and lee are both pocket passers. This will be an immense distraction and cost us the Oregon game. I think we loose 3 to 4 games

When does the coaching staff get blamed for an apparent lack of institutional leadership of its own?

The team should be able to overcome this, their is a lot of leaders on the team that aren't implicated, and their group leadership can handle this. If anything this situation might increase the work ethic and commitment of the rest of the team. Making them completely buckle down with two weeks left before kick-off.
