I would suggest Landrys if they are open. If you feel like stopping in D'ville, the Grapevine is awesome. Also Cafe Burnside at Houmas House is fantastic although a tad out of your way, but well worth it.

Landry's has been pretty good lately...I agree with Geaux2Hell, if you have time, stop in D'Ville for Grapevine.

Not a whole lot of options here. Cafe Burnside if you're coming from BR isn't very far out of your way. Just take the HWY 44 exit instead of the Sorrento exit, and you can circle back around taking the levee road.
If in Pierre Part Landry's is your best option.

Just go to fast track at the truck stop and get a number 1 with seasoned fries and an orange soda.

I think a fraternity brother's family used to own that joint. Good stuff if I recall correctly.

Houmas House is only a couple of miles off your route.

Billy is the owner and a distant cousin of mine...brother to Chris Guillot (the guy always yelling at baseball games). Billy is a cool guy, but certainly runs that place his way or the highway especially if you are not a regular. Fried chicken, seafood, and poboys are great unless one of the cooks burns the grease. Hamburger steaks are pretty good too (red or brown gravy, i like the red). they have some damn good onion rings and some of the coldest beer you will find at a restaurant. Ive been eating at "The Chance" since i was a little kid.
