Anyone else excited about Rage?

I know there are a bunch of great games coming out in the next few months but I'm a sucker for FPS/role playing games (Fallout, etc). I've watched a couple of trailers and it looks great. I just hope it plays well. I don't care for the vehicles as much as I want the guns and action to be good. I see it as a hybrid between Fallout and Borderlands. We'll see.

A little bit. Someone posted a video on it a few weeks ago that looked interesting. Don't know enough about it yet though.

I was until I saw some of the gameplay footage and felt it just looked like a souped up Borderlands.

I guess that is why I'm excited about it. I enjoyed Borderlands. I need something to take up my time until Skyrim

I am worried it is going to be a lot less RPG than we and many others think it is going to be.
On the preview videos that I have seen it, I have seen next to no proof that it will be RPG at all.
More like Metro 2033 where you have different guns with different mods and different types of ammo for each.
Maybe I haven't looked hard enough, but I have seen nothing about leveling.
