but can this club afford to make decisions based on the opinion of an aged player past his prime that may or may not be in the fold in the next 3 years?

honestly, it's time that 'Pool starts to think about life AFTER Gerrard, because that day is rapidly approaching.... sucks, but it's a fact of life.... i'd hate to get rid of Suarez because Stevie don't like him, only to have him score 40 goals a year for Real Madrid or someone else, especially considering the one thing that we need above all else is a potent scorer....

I see where you're coming from. Just another piece of the puzzle to consider though. It might be just enough to tip the scales for the Americans. I'm sure they want nothing more than to be rid of him at this point after getting angry calls from Warrior and Standard Chartered over the weekend.

I read somewhere that apparently Gerrard was absolutely furious at Suarez for how he conducted himself throughout the game. If you have Steven mad at you, that can't be any good for the locker room. If that is the case then this problem may be much bigger than appears.

He clearly has the rest of the team behind him as we saw on Saturday. Pepe Reina was seen multiple times whispering things into Evra's ear, Agger and Skrtel immediately came to Suarez's defense after the game and Kenny backed him after the match. Gerrard can get over it. He should be more pissed at himself for having one of his poorest performances in years against a club like United.

I watched the replay and his ball after the Evra/Ferdinand collision (Evra was clearly trying to make a dirty tackle on Suarez) was just

So un-Gerrard-esque (sp?)

Here it is. Clear goal scoring opportunity. Pretty much sums up his day.

I never noticed that. Was too busy laughing at Patrice being a douche. How do you miss a man that wide open???? What the hell was Steven doing?

On another note, I was surprised after reading those comments how so many of those people (a whole lot of Manchester United fans too) thought it wasn't that big of a deal, and threw a good bit of blame on Evra.

Yep. That's what I'm saying. Most rational people don't care. The media is responsible for this shite storm and luckily the FA didn't bite.

Understatement of the century. This is, in and of itself, a miracle.

I'm looking for a good Liverpool only message board to join (Relax sweethearts, I'm not replacing you. Just looking for a place that will make me look like I know what I'm talking about when I post in this thread in the future).

Is "This is Anfield" the one to join? I've heard it mentioned by you guys before. Seems like a decent group of people. But even the Rant can be that misleading at times. Suggestions?

this, and i go to Red and White Kop a good bit. but they're not letting anyone register and haven't for a couple months. you basically have to be grandfathered in.

there's the official liverpool website that has a forum too, but that one kinda sucks

What? Why? And how do I get grandfathered in? Do I have to know someone important?

i don't know why. maybe they had a bad case of some serious trolling.

it seems that you have to know someone that is already a member and they vouch for you to a mod. and since you guys are really the only 'pool fans that i know, i don't like my chances of getting in

i've tried emailing their support, but never got anything back

I've been a member there for years but it's really not a great place to post. Good place to read, but they take themselves WAY too seriously. Until you have any status there nobody will talk to you so you end up putting in your 2 cents like some self centered idiot to no response.

You're not missing much not being able to register, just lurk and you're set.

The problem with a lot of those boards is the amount of people that are on them. I feel that the quantity is so large it brings down the quality of posts.

You'll get some good breaking news every once and a while, but overall the football discussions can get pretty stupid.

Like most people have said, I wouldn't even bother trying to join RAWK or TIA. They can be fun to read and you can learn a good bit, but you'll get lost in the shuffle. The subreddit r/liverpoolfc just hit 1000 members and while you can tell it's a board still in its infancy, they add top stories quickly and there are a lot of funny/quality posts already. Get in on the ground level.

ETA: Checked it earlier and they're are over 2k suppporters there now...growing fast.
