especially for the BAMA game, I know everybody remembers PP7, interception on the sidelines 09'
This particular group of officials DID NOT WANT TO SEE what the rest of the country could clearly see.

I like our officials more then any conference. Ours actually allow you to play physical football.

Has LSU ever lost a game because the other team was better? Or has it just been because of the refs.
BTW, in that Bama game, while it was clearly an INT by PP, we were still losing at the time and lost both our starting QB and RB.
In short, we likely would have still lost even in the refs would have gotten the call right.
Hell, if it was ruled an INT, the next play likely would have been a Pick-6 by Bama and we would have lost by even more.

Yes but we'd have had the ball at nearly midfield with a chance to drive down and take the lead, right after we had just driven down the field to take score before with a back up rb and qb.

The interception missed call happens all the time. Like in the 2004 game Auburn game when Travis Daniels recovered a fumble in bounds on Auburns last drive. And that would have won the game for LSU.
The real travesty in that game was Deaderick spearing Jefferson and no flag was thrown to protect the student/athletes health.

However, in the state of Alabama, there have been some very intersting, home-team calls. See Aub '04, Aub '06, & Bama '09.

that is what I am trying to say, The officials are going to change the outcome of this game. I can't be the only SEC fan to be thinking this, about playing at bama

I saw terrible calls in multiple SEC games. Miss. St. had some terrible calls versus Auburn. I would prefer the NCAA to go with national officials.

quote:NO. It shows that a lot of the refs are actually die hard fans and will make an occasional call to sway the game in one direction.

THIS is what bothers me the most as a fan.
Yeah, I get that there's an agenda. This is blatantly obvious to those of us with a TV, eyes, and a brain.
BUT...when you don't protect the physical health of the team you are paid to cheat against, that's when I have a problem.
I'm not as upset bout the AU 06 game being fixed (even though it cost us a shot at the MNC) as I was about the 09 Bama game being fixed because of that one play right there. That was a damn shame, and the fact that Jefferson continued to play says a lot about his toughness.
Also, watch the entire replay of the 2007 Bama game as well. We had to overcome nearly 200 yards in penalties that game as well to win. Lots of bogus calls there too, but we forget that because we actually were able to win the game.
PS - same crew in the 2007 game and the 2009 game as well!

You want to talk terrible calls and fixing games?
Go see a replay of the 07 game between Pitt and WVU that sent LSU to the BCSCG. The refs were trying hard to cheat Pitt out that game to get WVU in the title game. They still couldn't do it and Pitt won and the rest was history. But that aside from the AU 06 season could be the single worst piece of officiating I have ever seen.

Not only that, but there has never been a bad call that benefited LSU, certainly not the int by Corey Webster vs Bama in 04 that was a good call

I agree. SEC officials are the worst in the country. I am relieved every time we get to play with refs from another conference.I remember back in 07 we were the most penalized team in the land and then in the National Championship against Ohio State we barely had any penalties called on us by the Big 12 refs.

Another obvious fix job as well.
