Old School Saints: Anyone Remember This Play?

My memory of this is very foggy because I was very young when I saw it happen. It was most likely in the late 70's or very early 80's during one of the Saint's few nationally televised games. Before the game, a Saints defensive player promised a fan at the game that he was going to "get him an interception". Sometime during the second half he picks one off over the middle. He's tackled, and without hesitation pops up and runs straight to the sideline toward the fan. The kicker is that the fan was a kid in a wheelchair who was sitting in a special section that the Saints always set up for the handicapped. The look of joy on this kids face when he gave him the ball coupled with the reaction of the crowd and rest of the team was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.
Anyone remember this? If I had to guess, the player was Tommy Myers but I'm not sure.
