The assistant is Ulric Maligi and he was the one that signed Chicken Knowles and Daniel House. They've already signed, but it appears signing doesn't mean much these days.

Not for sure, but strong rumors plus Swilling commit make it seem likely. That's trading a junior for a junior, so scholarship wise it doesn't change anything.

I thought Jones said he doesn't know WTF Swilling is talking about.

I think some TV guy asked if Swilling had SIGNED and Johnny said "no, I don't know where you heard that."

Should come out Monday.

I don't think ralston leaves but stringer, Isaac, and maybe Courtney I could see. I know Courtney doesn't want to bang down low

I don't see Isaac leaving. I think it's more likely that it's Stringer or Turner. For some reason I just don't think Isaac leaves.

I don't think Isaac leaves. I thought he was playing at his dream school. Remember, he committed as a soph to Brady. Trent Johnson honored that commitment. With this transfer talk, I guess Hickey/JOB weren't speaking for the team when they said they were staying. I would think all of the players would be excited about playing in an uptempo system. I think they all could find more success. Jalen Courtney is poised to be a starter in my mind if there aren't any other bigs signed and assuming he's healthy. He is a 6'8" athlete who should be great in transition and on the offensive glass. Turner and Stringer, a lot of times it's easy baskets that can get a scorer going. If LSU is able to run like Jones wants, then that should help the scorers/shooters on the team.

when he was a sophomore Trent was the coach.

Maybe Johnny processes Isaac.

he doesn't really want to nor does he have the game to play in the post.

I guess I do misremember some of the details. However, if you trust Rivals it gives the date of Isaac's committment which is during/after his soph year. And even after he blew out his knee the following summer and didn't play as a junior the committment was honored and he signed at LSU.

I don't see Courtney as a post player either, but he should still score some in the lane on putbacks and cuts to the hoop within the halfcourt sets. Even if he doesn't start his minutes should go way up if healthy considering the makeup of the roster to date.

I've heard the same thing. That's he's committed to playing PF next year and is working really hard at it. I don't think he's going anywhere.

It has seemed weird from the get-go. What is the latest? He said he is committed and Jones says he's not?

I've never seen a direct quote where he says he is committed to LSU. Tigerbait said the Swilling confirmed he was committed to LSU. He had a bunch of people congratulating him for committed to LSU on Twitter and he always responded with something cryptic like, "haha" or "ok". Never confirmed it or said anything about it.

He has been openly lobbying (basically begging) for an LSU offer for weeks.

One story that I have heard is that he is committed, but is on a Mississippi State visit and LSU doesn't want it out until he gets back. Another story is that it's completely false and LSU hasn't offered.

Again, just wierd.

@ebosshoops: In coaching staff news, assistant Robert Kirby has left Georgetown and is now at LSU. Could they make a late run at Devonta Pollard?

I knew he offered him, but had heard he got turned down. Must have made another run. That fricking huge right there.

Bubba is Pollard still wide open? Would have thought this late someone of his level would have been close to picking a school. I am assuming Stansberry retiring threw a wrench in his recruiting, but the guy has plenty of offers.
