I don't know about New Orleans... but if you want a big selection of military surplus check out Sportsmans Guide dot com.

I always see one on the way to Florida when we go. Pretty sure it's in Slidell right off of I-10.

In Slidell. On I-10 Service Road off the Gause Blvd exit (Exit 266). Practically right next door to Scuttlebutts Gentleman's Club.

army surplus in Slidell has all sorts of stuf but not much surplus. Ammo cans, folding shovel, and some old army bags is about all. Lots of new stuff though like clothes, boots, gear, patches, bags, knives etc. I was just in there last week.
