Gotta go up and cut the grass this weekend at the camp. Haven't been up since may. I know the night fishing has been good but what about during the day?

I've heard that only a handful of launches are open on the LA side due to the extremely low water levels.

My dad was there 3 weeks ago and couldn't put the boat in the water because none ofthe landings were in the water.

extremely low water
This applies to many of the lakes in the northwest part of the state.

Go to www.toledo-bend.com , they have a list of which ramps are still open.
But if you go, be very, very careful. Many of the marked boat lanes have stumps in them at this level and many boats have been damaged lately. It is truly safe to run only in the main Sabine River channel.
But from the reports I have gotten, the fishing has been pretty good , either day or night.
Send us a report after the weekend if you go.
good luck and be safe.

Cypress bend is about 20 min from the camp think we are gonna launch there. I went to the Toledo bend website they said the only place the boat lanes are safe is from cypress to Pendleton bridge area. I have heard to stay in main river channel. Dont have gps is there anything else I can go by. Doesnt the north/south boat lane follow the river? TIA?
