Damnit! Finally made my way back into the Season Ticket Family!!

Got the call today. Made the mistake of giving up my season tickets back in 1997. Finally, got off the waiting list this afternoon. Even made it to the lower bowl. I am single again, about to have the "empty nest", so this could not have come at a better time. Ticket office really made one upper middle age man happy today. Unlike some, I WILL stay for the whole game. I had been picking up a couple of single games here and there, but it is not the same. Damn! Been following the tigers since 1967. Did part of my undergraduate work there. It's so good to be back in.

Where did you graduate?

Did last year at Northeast due to graduate school considerations. Did grad school there, the doctoral work in Minnesota. Post-doc was also LSU.

I didn't know they were still making calls. Congrats.

Unlike the 90's I have a physical handicap, so I think they were doing the runs on those. Anyway, it is just one ticket, but for now that is all I need to make me happy. Still questioning what I am going to do with my basketball seasons. Probably drop one seat and keep the other. I started following in high school back in the late 60's. Still have the love/

You got a pair together? What section?

Good deal. I finally got a pair together in the East Upper this year. Had a single in 405 last year.

the same year i got mine. me and 3 buddies got the last 4 singles in the stadium that year. they were scattered in what is now 419 i think. i requested and got a pair in 2000 and moved over to what is now 420. bought another pair off ebay in 407 the next year and transferred them into my name when you could still do that obviously. requested the following year to swap the 2 in 407 out with a pair in 420, so now i had 2 pairs in 420, but not together. i pay a dude $100 to swap his pair with one of mine so i'd have 4 together. what a process that was, but glad i went thru it.

I was in the North EZ the last time I had season tickets. There were some times I would have just as soon that we had not even showed up to play (i.e., Archer and Curley) I also had many good memoriesn and experiences in that stadium. Probably sound so sappy to some, but I regretted letting go of my other tickets and was just so happy to get back in the stadium on a season basis without having to go through a thid party.
Given that over the last three years I went through a divorce from a long term marriage, had a temporarily disabling accident, and got laid off from my job, it is just good to have things looking up. Did the rehab and got the shoulder back close to new. Got a better job. Now this. Yeah, for me, life is getting good.
