This isn't to say that everyone who doesnt like these shows are stupid, just that not many stupid people get the humor in these shows

The Office
Wilfred
King Of the Hill (probably the biggest one)

what do yall got?

Futurama is incredibly clever and I think a lot of the jokes from that show would go over stupid people's heads.

Arrested Development

Well, there are some parts that I'm sure some stupid people find funny, but there are other parts that are way over your normal moron's head.

Curb is a great one IMO.

Girls and stupid people hate it for the most part.

Arrested Development is an interesting example. I'd actually say a lot of the humor is really silly-stupid type of humor but there some very witty parts as well. Either way it's a great show. I think more often shows/movies aren't for "smart" people or "stupid" people as much as they are for a specific generation, sex, or other demographic.

this. also, i'd venture that most Adult Swim soar over their heads...Children's Hospital is an excellent modern example.

I wasn't thinking of this because I wouldn't consider any of Sorkin's shows pure comedies, but good call.

I like Sports Night, but actually don't think it's as funny as it is "enjoyable" just for the subject matter and idealistic optimism.

The West Wing is probably one of the funniest shows I've ever seen, though, and there are only brief moments of comic relief in the form of dry one-liners per episode. Along with the occasional bout of slapstick.

I'll have to agree that always sunny probably isn't sophisticated humor in the slightest
