I think DT depth is about about our biggest priority right now( TE also if we don't re-sign David Thomas, signing David Thomas and Todd Heap if cheap would be some good veteran presence to go with Jimmy Grahm). There are still some DT options out there.
Anthony Hargrove
Ty Warren
Amobe Okoye
Marcus Stroud
Maake Kemoeatu(sp)
Has anyone signed Tony Brown from the Titans yet?
Shaun Rodgers and Sedrick Ellis are our starters and should be a great tandem but we need some proven depth at a critical defensive position. What do you guys think about signing any of these guys? Is there other options out there that I can't think of right now? Or should we wait and see if somebody better gets cut down the line?

Amobe Okyoe signed with the Bears yesterday.

Okoye was supposed to be the shite. Very smart, young kid.

Well the shite part is right. He was terrible in Houston. Still young enough to make a leap, but he sucked hard.
Gabe Watson is out there, big body with experience to take space. So is Franklin but he's out of range.

DT definitely, but if we don't sign Thomas again, we're also very thin at TE as well. Zach Miller from Oakland or Todd Heap from Baltimore would be awesome.

Amobe Okoye
Another very young guy for GW to mold. He should come at a pretty decent price!
Also, Everyone is sleeping on Dexter Larimore from Ohio State. I think he has a lot of potential to be a very good player.

Again, Okoye signed with the Bears.

Soooooo. What about that Amobe Okeye guy? I think he's still got great upside.

Take it from someone from Houston, Amobe is garbage. Couldn't have signed with a better team. Can't wait for those frickers to come to New Orleans this year.

I agree with you. My post was an apparently futile attempt at humor.

Lester, I dont own maddden (so yea you would probly beat me on your xbox) and ain't much of a video game guy. Just a true Saints fan who has had season tickets since the year 1999 and is very passionate about football and i know alot about football. I'm just listing possible back ups to our starters cuz behind Rodgers and Ellis we have Tom Johnson, Mitch King, Swanson Miller, and Dexter Lattimore(who I hope can be another undrafted guy to contribute to our team but thats alot to ask from a undrafted DT in his first year. DT is harder to transition to the NFL from colledge than alot of other positions). And its not like any of those guys would be unrealistic expensive options
Fun Bunch, yea I would love Franklin but I agree he would cost to much and would wanna start.
Gabe Watson would be nice behinnd Rodgers and Hargrove behind Ellis
well if Amobe is that bad I guess its good he went to Chicagahoe
not lookin for any stars just some proven depth to compete with our young unproven guys. hopefully Johnson, Mitch King and Lattimore will have stellar camps and beat out any veterans we sign just would like the insurance

His knees are supposedly fricked. If he can give us 15-20 snaps a game on a 1 year "prove it" deal, I would love to have him.

Love me some pillow penetration
Jason La Canfora reported Ex colts DT signed a one year deal worth $1.185 million with the rams.
Still got a decent amount of DTs out there that can add depth though
