Anyone ever used one of these? Saw one last night at a benefit auction and wanted to buy it but got a little pricey. Once I got home found them on infamous google and was wondering if they were any good.

The "Louisiana Specials" at academy? Or is this a specific LSU rod?

Not sure. First I have seen of them was at the auction. Made by Castaway though.

The Louisiana Specials are branded H2O Xpress I'm pretty sure and run like $40.

Its not the Louisiana Special. I checked that one out at Academy to be sure. Looks and feels like a pretty good rod. Check out the Castaway website guys!

Spillway Sportsman makes them. I have three, and they are great rods. Quite on the pricey side, but they were all presents so who gives a shite.
