Worst Case Scenario Regarding Lyles

Sorry for my ignorance, but I have just a quick question. Assuming that the old adage, "where there's smoke there's fire," is true, is the presumed worst case scenario regarding our relationship with Lyles suggesting that we paid him to steer players to LSU, but we didn't actually benefit from that relationship last year, but perhaps did in previous years? That is, we didn't pay enough to get Lache, but maybe we paid enough to get previous players? Is that what he supposedly does, acts as a go-between communicating potential payments to his clients? Sorry, I know that this is obvious to some, but I am having trouble imagining the actual "fire." Thanks in advance.

Auburn and oregon have a billowing cloud of smoke and a glow of fire above their universities....this is nothing more than a campfire used to make smores that's out already.

yes. we got films for our 6000 bucks. totally legal.
we are just lucky that lyles doesn't say, "lsu paid me 6k to get players to WANT to go there"

worst case scenario is if they determine PP7 was paid for to come to LSU. We would get bowl ban for x amount of years and lose a lot of scholarships.
