I'm taking my daughter (9) and meeting my parents in Pineville area on Saturday. Are there any good places to eat in that area? Type of food isn't that important but want something better than fast food. Ill hang up n listen. Thanks.

there's a place called Spirits, it's right off Jackson St, kind of down and behind the Frosty Factory---pretty good food!

There was a joint called the wagon wheel or something or other out toward the ex-paper mill. You could eat a steak and drink beer.

Paradise Catfish has gone to shite. Fant's is a great recommendation. Spirits is good. The BBQ restaurant referenced is Outlaw's, it's not bad.

compared to places in NOLA, yes, I'd call it average...considering this establishment is in Tioga, LA ....it is a dream come true .... the seafood is very good there, even if it is your standard LA fried seafood ...the frog legs are very good...the smoked duck app is excellent...the fried catfish and shrimp are a nice size and seem fresh... it's a great little place and did I mention it' in TIOGA !

paradise catfish is under new mgt, and i hear it has improved... stalnakar's has a good selection on the ayce seafood buffet; it is sometimes hit and miss though (although the last 2 times i have gone it has been good). you have the yucatan on 28 east if you like mexican, but i have never been overly impressed. a new mexican restaurant opened on 107, but i have not been so no personal experience. i do you know can get low alcoholic drinks at the 28 east and 107 establishments. red river steak and sushi is open on 165 near stage/lowes. only been once but it wasn't bad. (you must take into account the location when considering the review of "good", etc...)

Lee J's on the Levee is pretty good last time I was there and if you have kids its probably a good deal considering it has an all you can eat buffet
