After hearing his comments today would you want to see him in the Black & Gold?

Is he too much drama for the locker room?

If he had a true leader in a qb and not a whore monger would he be able to be kept in check?

I love the thought of the Saints getting him but I wouldn't want him to mess up the "family". That said I think Brees could take care of keeping him in check.

He's under contract for 4 more years, his guaranteed $ makes him untradeable for the Steelers right now, and he has always played OLB in the 3-4. Soooooooo.....

Maybe he's just into 'whore mongers' of late.

Threads like these remind me of some of the callers of 870.

"hey uh Bobby, since Deuce just tore his 2nd ACL what do you think of say trading him for Randy Moss?"

He doesn't fit our scheme.

Why would we want a loudmouth arse even if he has a small contract and was good in a 4-3 defense?

Because he's a badass player. The team has plenty enough leaders to keep someone straight...

Wasn't part of Payton's thing was to get rid of malcontents and people that would be a problem in the locker room? This seems like it would go completely against that concept.

He traded for Shockey, just signed Rogers as a FA, drafted Nicks, and very well likely went after Haynesworth last offseason (according to several journalists).

Don't think we can get him anyway.

Anyone know any noteworthy LBs that will be on the market when this lockout is over? Anyone good to great?

Manny Lawson- has played in a 3-4 but could be better suited for a 4-3.

Rocky McIntosh- has been brought up on here before.

James Anderson- was a tackling machine for the Panthers last year. I think he is still young.

Lawson was a DE at NCState and OLB in SF. He's never played the SAM in a 4-3.

McIntosh and Anderson OK, but I'd rather them just keep Shanle on the cheap (unless they can get one of those two for a similar price) to backup both positions/let Wilson develop and roll with Casillas on the weakside.

I think Justin Durant could be a good starter/nickle backer at WLB.

Came across this article the other day.

I'm with you on Shanle though. Wouldn't hurt to keep him around to mentor the young players.

Harrison will be out of work in a few years...maybe after this season. We don't need that prick.

When we played them in the Dome, seemed like he made every tackle.
