My dad just signed the dotted line on one. Picking it up Saturday. Was looking at a 2010 Ranger Z521 at $55k at cabelas I believe. Told them he'd throw down $50k cash. They said they'd come down $1500. Walked out and called up bass pro in jackson miss i beleive and bought the Z9 for $45 or so.

1. WTF is wrong with cabela's? How can you be that proud of a boat sitting on your lot for almost two years when the 2012s are about to come out?

2. Am i gonna be happy with the Z9? Looks badass

You may be happy with the Z9, but it's no Ranger. Cabela's will sell the Ranger for close to what they're asking. They just need to find one person that'll pay it.

Shoulda bought a used Ranger that was a year or two old. There are a ton of great boats out there. People with money buy new for whatever reason and never use it and are paying a note on something they don't use and is in the way. They'll take a significant loss just to get it off their hands

The New Z-9's are a heck of a rig, there is not 10K difference in a Ranger and a Nitro these days.

Ranger isn't what it use to be, not saying they make a bad rig its still a quality rig but the Z-9 will out perform that Ranger all day long.

Yeap...its fairly common knowledge...

Rangers aren't refered to as Monkey Boats for no reason....

Would not surprise me. Ranger has never been in my top 3 ever. Other than being very well made and thought out, they don't do anything special on the water. Unless getting soaking wet downwind in special.

I'll race yall any day across a rough lake.

Alx, you do realize you could be in a 40' boat and is the spray and wind is just right you're gonna get a wet arse? Although I've never gotten wet in the ranger (21')

anyway, hope u enjoy the new ride, rgh. You should buy your pops a new rod n reel to go with it (which u get to use too)
