How much is Mike Trout worth in a 10 team dynasty league? standard Roto 5x5.

The reason I am asking, the guy in my league who has him keeps offering retarded trades.

ETA: Recent trades that were accepted and the commish had to veto.

Jemile Weeks
Mike Trout
Daniel Hudson
Max Scherzer

for

Justin Upton and Roy Halladay

and

Mike Trout and Daniel Hudson for Justin Upton

Minimum 5 players maximum is the whole team. Right now it's set up as the last place team selects the amount of keepers... More of an experimental first season.

it would be really hard to gauge without knowing how many players will be kept.

in my opinion, if you are going to do a dynasty league, you need to know before hand how many players will be kept.

you just have to keep in mind that a team out of the running can make a trade that you may think is lopsided, but when it comes to next year, it may work out better for them.

quote:

Jemile Weeks
Mike Trout
Daniel Hudson
Max Scherzer

for

Justin Upton and Roy Halladay

for instance, something like this above may seem lopsided on the surface, but the guy getting the 4 players may have a huge hole.

however, my first point comes in...What if the guy adds these 4 players, thinking he will keep them all. At that point, he is now +2 in keeper players than he was before that trade. So what if at the end of the year he isnt in last place, and someone sets the keepers at 5?

He is going to be fricked if he made that trade thinking he would keep those guys because there would be a high number of keepers. But when the dust settles, there will only be 5.

all that may be confusing, but once you get a year under the belt you may understand

I understand where you are coming from, and yea its definitely an experiment this season. But for argument's sake, how high would you project Mike Trout to be say next season's draft. Im trying to see if my perception of him is way too low, considering this guy has offered almost every team in the league a 1 for 1 trade of Mike Trout for a 2nd or 3rd round pick player.

sounds like he is over valuing him. He is 19 or 20 years old. Prob wont hit his peak for another 2-3 years.

i probably wouldnt even keep him in a 10 team league, unless i could keep 13-15 players or so

he could be a great player, but he could also be a bust as so many top prospects turn out to be. i'm of the opinion that rookies are almost always overrated in fantasy baseball.

Barring major injuries to the LAA OF, I don't see him getting much playing time in the 2nd half of the season. He'll be sent back down to AAA once Bourjos gets right.
