Maybe not an all time great, but who you knew got everything they could from their talent and made the Tigers better. I'll start.
Sammy Martin-Mr. Excitement
Sheddrick Wilson-would get pounded and still make the plays
Jacob Hester-Hey, what else can you say about this stud
Kendall Cleveland-when he ran all you saw were elbows and a--holes!
Mike Miley-a joy to watch
Mike Anderson- he plugged the middle and allowed capone and Bevan to destroy people
Quinn Johnson-I am still enjoying him do his thing in the pros. He hits you, you know it.

I have a rather large case of this as well. I mean specifically the "lets rank the best players in the last 10 years." threads. There have literally been about 10 made like this in the past few days. Each one no different than the others.

Offseason + baseball ending early.
Wait for my "which LSU players were the best left handed players with opposable thumbs" thread tomorrow.

Anthony Zehyoue
LINK
quote:
Patience? For three years he slogged around in the coal mine of the scout team. A walk-on. No meal money, no scholarship, just show up every day and get your butt kicked. For that, he had the right to call himself an LSU Tiger. A Tiger no one knew, but there was a certain amount of pride that went with the grunt work.
"He's a cool dude," said Dorsey, the All-American defensive lineman who has won more national awards this year than any Tiger in history. "He's always getting on me about all the accolades. We clown every day."
It's easier to clown now because Les Miles came up one day during fall drills and teased Zehyoue: He had some good news. Three days later, the lineman chased after his coach following a practice unable to wait any longer. "I sprinted him down," Zehyoue said. "He went ahead and told me the coaches really appreciated my effort and contributions to the team."
Scholarship, baby! Not only that, Zehyoue finally played -- a handful of snaps against Middle Tennessee and Louisiana Tech. He probably won't play in the national championship game but could get a ring, something he missed out on four years again. After first approaching Nick Saban's staff in 2003, Zehyoue was convinced he should wait until 2004. Meanwhile, he watched LSU win its first national championship in 45 years.

Trindon Holliday. Did you see how fast that kid ran? In that little body, with those short legs? No way that was talent. That kid had more want to move those legs faster and faster and faster. Incredible.
Plus, he was THIS CLOSE to getting reps at DE.
Incredible!

It's just that time of year. Baseball's over, spring football is over and not *quite* close enough to start talking specifically about the game. That time is coming, though.

Allen Stansberry/Pat Rogers (inseparable in my mind)
Ben Wilkerson
Trindon Holliday
Tyrann Mathieu
Bradie James
Michael Clayton
Josh Reed

Anthony McFarland
Troy Twillie
Ali Highsmith
Dominick Davis
Eric Hill
