JR may have won games, but he did not get us the big one like Mauck and Flynn did.

short of 3000 yds passing and going 14-0 with about 3 "JJ put the team on his back" performances, JJ ain't replacing or exceeding Ro. period.

Matt Mauck....though not the best on the list he single-handedly saved LSU from the jaws of defeat in an SECCG, gave LSU an 18-2 record as a starter, and set a single season record for TD passes. Not to say as a 33 year old lifelong LSU fan I truly believe he had more of a "heart" than any other LSU QB i've seen.
He is probably Top 6--if not higher. Wishing LSU would have been able to land a lot of more these "conservative-but-capable" get the job done QB's with the biggest heart.

WOW!! Herb Tyler and Marcus Randall, but no Matt Mauck. Not sure Mauck is top 10, but we did win a NC with him. I would argue that Randall and Tyler could be in the bottom 10 QBs in LSU history.

When did this guy play here???

1) Y A Tittle
2) Bert Jones
3) Tommy Hodson
4) Mike Hillman (LSU's best team ever was 1969)
5) David Woodley
6) Matt Mauck
7) Matt Flynn
8) Mike Miley
9) Warren Rabb
10) Steve Ensminger
Actually, the best quarterback among most LSU fans over the years is whoever was the backup behind those on my list.

In the bottom 10 QBs in LSU history?
You're not going to get any support for that idiocy.

I'm sorry but no way in hell is Herb Tyler in the bottom 10. I am not saying he is top 5 but he needs to be in the top 10. The guy does not get the credit he deserves. I would haved loved to see Tyler as our QB this year or last year.
As for Josh Booty, he was the worst thing to happen to LSU football in 50 years. Yes he was all SEC but look who else was QBing in the SEC at the time not to mention we threw the ball 50 times a game b/c our D sucked. If Booty would have stayed his arse with the Marlins, Rohan would have had an extra year to develop. Imagine how good he could have been in 2001 with a season under his belt.
