When's the next opportunity to cap-tie him? WCQ for 2014?

Let's hope Diskerud says the same thing about Norway.

That would be my guess. The US has a bye until the 3rd round so it could be a while. CONCACAF Qualifying

Round One. Teams ranked 26–35 will play-off to reduce the number of entrants to 30.

How bad do you have to be to not advance from this? Man those must be some sh*t teams

They are average, about what the U.S. would be if we played in Europe, but Mix's comments after the GC have me worried.

All of them outside of Bahamas and Dominican Republic probably have a smaller population than Birmingham. Hell, there are a few who have a bye until the second round that fit that bill too.

They really had their "golden generation" in the 90's and haven't looked the same, though they have some good young players, namely Henriksen.

Najar picked Honduras over the US. These decisions don't always come down to the prestige of the teams.

Soccernomics named Norway the world's best footballing country, or something. I don't remember, I might have been drinking.

I think most mid level dual US citizens from average European nations will play for the US more and more. We're practically guaranteed to make the World Cup.
Now that I look at the rankings, Norway is much better than I thought at 11. That still puts them as 8th in Europe when the US is ranked 24th and 2nd in CONCACAF. Of course UEfA has 9.5 more wc spots so I guess it's kind of moot

He probably won't, but can still swap over to the US.
