Who did Archer come back with? I now remember that Curly Hallman came back as someone's DC. It think it was Bama's.

Archer's up here at NCSU as the D-coordinator. My Wolfpack diehard pals tell me he's actually done a decent job, especially with what they have to work with there. I'm curious to find their actual rankings.

My buddies are always good for a .

Interesting to read how much LSU is mentioned in his bio:

Archer

Also, 34th ranked Total Defense, albeit in the ACC, last year.

Here's a couple of older ones:

Bill Beall - assistant at LSU, Head Coach at Baylor, record 0-2 vs LSU.

Bill Peterson - assistant at LSU; Head Coach at Florida State, record 0-2 vs LSU.

well, if we're still at assistants there's always Mack Brown (Tulane 1985-1987, North Carolina 1988-1997,Texas 1998- current).

Larry Jones was on Dietzel's staff from 1958-1961 and became Florida State's HC in 1971 leading them to the innaugral Fiesta Bowl.

And of course, there is Hudson "Curley" Hallman who after four years at LSU later became head coach of the Greater Shoals Area YMCA 'Red Panthers' 75lb football team in 2003.

FSU didn't play LSU while Jones was HC.
