wow, Oregon should for certain get in a little big of trouble for some of those shenanigans Lyles just revealed in the interview. Correct?

For the next 12 months Lyles said he provided Oregon with frequent verbal reports on prospects and contributed to a joint spreadsheet to update information. While he doesnât personally shoot film of prospects, he said he asks high school coaches for them and sent Oregon tape on approximately 50 players he thought could play for them.

He said Oregon specifically told him he need not provide written materials until the 2011-12 year.

That is a stark contrast from LSU, which Lyles said sent him a checklist to follow when submitting reports for the junior college package purchased by the Tigers.

Their standards required written reports on two different dates and film on a continual basis over the length of the deal.

well isn't that interesting?

Forget Lyles, bring on the Sean Nelson article.

That is the same handwriting on both of the cards supposedly written by two separate coaches...

Wouldn't read too much into that. They could have just had some secretary write it for them and send it off.

shite man. Why can't we play a team without them getting pillaged by the NCAA?? I'm not gonna be happy if they lose players or coaches before we play them over this.

I think his interview shows that LSU was dealing differently with him than other schools. They paid for recruit info, not for players to be swayed there. Hell, he is at an LSU game in that photo and none of those players came to LSU.

Which leads me to believe that he was actively pushing players away from LSU and not the other way around.

So if LSU paid him to sway players, why would he frick us over? Lache, by far the best player he has dealt with imo, was going to go to LSU. His Mom was going to refuse to sign his LOI if he went to Oregon. Lyles fricked LSU over and had everything changed so his grandmother could sign and he could go to Oregon. If LSU was paying him for players, we got screwed.

This. Even tho the 13-3 loss to UF didn't help either.

You don't get that it looks like LSU had Lyles crossing T's and dotting I's to get any kind of payment....meaning LSU was making Lyles do his supposed job, unlike Oregon who cut him a check basically for "influence" and it clearly seemed to work

Even if LSU has done some shady things (which we probably have), at least the article makes me think that we've covered our tracks much better than Oregon has and we cheat effectively and efficiently.

Amazing the three in that picture did not end up at LSU, I'm betting Miles backed off all 3 and it definitely shows why Miles stopped recruiting Trovon Reed - remember that uproar when LSU stopped contacting Reed.

Oregon is going to be devastated by this news getting served to the NCAA on a silver platter by Lyles. Should have snuck him another 25K in hush money instead of costing the school much more in the long run
