His only option would be to go to a smaller school so he would not have to sit out a year

If he would have left, ideally he would have in Jan to participate in spring practice at his new school

Lee seems like a savvier player than that. You'd think that with his dad being a coach, he would have helped him make a better decision.
Do you have any idea where he might be going? I hope it's not an SEC West team.

While I don't think Lee is going anywhere, it is not out of the question. Players transfer in August all the time, after seeing how the depth chart stacks up. He could easily transfer to a lower level school just before the semester starts.
