Do you think we will see Mett this year?

Does Jefferson hold the job all year, or do we see mett relieve him or even take the job?
I honestly think Jefferson can play well enough to get the job done this year. Its his last year hopefully he can be motivated to go out on top despite a rocky career

I'm with Yamm on this. I'm becomming one of JJ's biggest supporters this year. Cause for Mett to play our year will be done, at least for the majority of LSU fans that expect at least a BCS bowl game.

i think he could play as early as the oregon game. it's not like les hasn't played 2 qbs before. imo, if jj struggles mett will be put in.

Mett getting playing time doesnt mean we have to lose. JJ will just have to have a bad performance for the majority of a game, which happened every single game last year and we didnt lose too many of them. He will get snaps.

I don't see it. Les is firmly commited on JJ. THat means you don't pull him out at the first or even second signs of trouble. For what it's worth(not much), I think JJ will have an above average showing against Oregon. JJ's play will come into question later in the season when we get into the heart of the SEC, when you have to prepare for a challenging opponent but only have 1 week to prepare and then you have to do it again the next week. JJ seems to play better when he has longer than a week to prepare.

I hope JJ plays well enough so that we don't have to see Mett but for some reason I don't think JJ is ready to turn the corner. I hope I'm wrong though.

I honestly believe Miles will have a small package for Mett this year and he will get some PT in quite a few games, especially when we are behind and have to throw the ball to attempt a comeback.

What makes you so sure the season would be done .. If chizik had that attitude last year about cam, auburn wouldnt have won the BCSNC..I feel that LSU would have a better shot at goin all the way with mett...

YES. Without a doubt. By the time we play Bama, he will be getting most of the snaps, with JJ getting the token start.

Do y'all really think Miles is not gonna play Mett at all when he is our sure fire starter for 2012? He will at the very minimum get a couple plays here and there to gain some experience.

Jefferson will be our starter for every game IMO, barring injury, or multiple losses.
We will see Mett though. I think he'll play some garbage time and maybe sub in a series or two in some games.

for us to make a legitimate nc run we can't do qb carousel this year. I'm hoping the only reason to put mett into a game is if JJ gets injured or garbage time.

Anything can happen. But JJ will start and play and then JL will go in. Mett will see the field if the score is 42-0
