Tried mothballs. They disappeared. Munks stayed put.

Tried live traps. They're wise to them.

Tried flooding the tunnels. Useless endeavor. I guess the little devils can hold their breath and swim.

Pellet gun works, but I don't have time to stake out the tunnels.

Anybody got any ideas? Would they eat rat poison? There must be fifty holes in the yard, undermining everything. I used to think the little #%@&*)s were cute.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I would give rat poison a try. I think the biggest problem is reproduction rates will be so high you won't ever keep up.

Maybe get some cats. I know the cats that stay out in my barn always catch moles so I'm sure they would catch a few chipmunks.

I had a major problem with the small flying squirrels. I did all you said as well. Live traps, poison, bla bla bla

I ended up going to Home Depot and buying 5 of those large rat traps. Baiting them with peanut butter and keep setting them

After almost 20 of them, they were gone. If they are getting in your attic, they will drive you crazy. I caught 8 the first night.

It was my last straw before I called someone and it worked.

Positive. Moles raise the ground with their tunnels. We've had a couple of those, too. These are honest to God, Chip and Dale, chipmunks.

Okay, I'm going to try the rat poison and the rat traps. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

I 'd for realz.

In my first appt when I started college, back when I was poor, I figured out it was infested with rats. Not mice, huge effin rates.

I tried everything to get rid of those little bastards. I couldnt leave packaged noodles or bread loaves out without putting them in tuppaware, bc those little bastards would chew threw the plastic to get to it... I would wake up with pairs of my thongs all over the house, with the middle chewed out.. and Id hear them in the walls at night

Finally my daddy told me to put out a crawfish trap with some penut butter toast in the middle of the floor overnight. I cause 5-6 of them bitches. They were huge, and I was soo disgusted!!!

If all else fails try the crawfish trap

Had the same problem in my apt when I first moved in (rat problem, not chewed up thongs problem ). Caught 8 of them bitches in rat traps. I started feeding stray cats with my left overs so they hang around the house, and haven't had a eat problem since.

I have an outdoor cat that I feed... but not that well
He has killed several moles and brings them to me as presents. Kills snakes too. I never knew cats were so usefull.

Chipmunks are my least to favorite animals in the world. The place I used to hunt was infested with them. When three or four of them got to playing in the leaves beneath my stand, you would've thought you had a herd of pigs coming through.
