1) Mavs are soft
2) Cant win with just jump shooting. (Add in defense with good jump shooting and you are champion)
3) Dirk always settles. (Won multiple games driving to the basket.
4) One superstar is not enough.

Others?

if the mavs go back to their old selves, are the myths really dispelled?

One myth that was definitely dispelled is that they are a one man team and Dirk was playing with a weak supporting cast.

Absolutely. And coincidentally, the "myth" that they built their team so much differently than Miami should be dispelled by the fact that they have 7 players with a higher salary than the Heat's 4th highest paid player (Mike Miller - $5 million) and 9 players earning more than the Heat's 5th highest paid player (Haslem - $3.5 million)

The teams are clearly built different. The rest of your post makes the point in how they spent more on a supporting cast while miami blew their load on their top 3 guys.
