Did we just see the last new South Park ever? The ending plain as day showed their sentiments and at the very least foreshadows the final half season in the fall. Their contract is through the 15th season. I expect that Comedy Central has enough respect for the work that these guys have done to allow them to break contract if they wish to, and end SP now. Hopefully they are just letting us know that there are 7 episodes left, but I have a strong feeling that we won't see any more South Park in the fall.

If spoilers, IDGAF, it's played twice.

This is a little bit of a divergence from the thread about the episodes. I'm talking about what people's opinions are on the future of SP.

This just hit me but what are the chances they do some sort of spin off of just Randy on his own?

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that we only have 7 episodes remaining of the series. This isn't the very end, but it was very clear that Matt and Trey were telling us that they are basically done with South Park.

after watching the ending again...i think Randy and Sharon's fight may reveal Trey and Matt's feelings about the show.

Randy: Because I'm unhappy! Okay? I've been unhappy for a long time...
Sharon: I'm unhappy, too. We both are, obviously. How much longer can we keep doing this? It's like the same shite just happens over and over and then in a week it just all resets and then it happens again. Every week it's just kind of the same story in a different way but it just keeps getting more and more ridiculous!
Randy: I don't know if I've changed or if you have, I just feel like I don't have a whole lot of time left and I want to enjoy it.
Sharon: I want to enjoy it too, but I can't fake it anymore. You seem kind of shitty to me.
Randy: You seem kind of shitty, too.

I know it's long, but it just took about five minutes to write, don't judge me. I think it's a valid suggestion to say Matt and Trey put themselves in that scene a little.

It wasn't the end. Go look on southparkstudios, there's 7 other places for episodes that say coming soon.

But I didn't watch the whole thing live earlier, I just caught clips. So I didn't really believe everyone talking like it was ending. But having gone back now and seen the whole thing, particularly the fight with Sharon & Randy, I think this is them preparing us for the end coming soon. They don't do emotional episodes like this often and this one might be the most emotional one in the series, even moreso than "Kenny Dies".
I feel like the last 7 episodes will be unlike any we've seen before and will all tie together as a big concluding story arc which may or may not lead into one more film.

If this is to be the end coming, what a ride it's been. I have been one of those that have stuck with South Park from the beginning and have loved it all along the way. It's been a truly groundbreaking show that consistently had original and funny material...maybe not every single episode, but more often than not. For my money, it's probably the best animated show ever and certainly one of my all time favorites, probably top 3. I'm going to try to enjoy it for the little while it lasts, and I am 110% certain that Matt & Trey have something excellent cooked up for this last set up of episodes that will send more than one of them to the top 10 or 20 episodes list. Gotta wait a few months to find out, but I'll certainly set my time aside on Wednesday night to watch this monumental show come to it's conclusion.

Agreed, I think we can all agree that at one point. South Park was the only decent show on Comedy Central and was carrying the network.

I apologize for re-watching a seemingly important part to the episode and the series as a result of not being able to fully hear the scene the first time, due to watching it with a few friends who wouldn't stop losing their shite about the hicks and the britches.
