Posted on 6/6/11 at 4:39 pm to Adam4848
adam, how many of these guys have you scouted ?
Posted on 6/6/11 at 4:39 pm to Adam4848
Story and Eiermann are 100% gone, Cave is 50/50, Nola and Goody likely to LSU
Sound about right?

Signees, only 5.

Eierman's stock has absouletly shot up the last couple of weeks, he could go Comp A round.
Story is gone, was never coming to LSU.
Cave hasn't seperated himself as a true OF or LHP so teams are indecisive as to when/where they will select him.
Nola should make it to LSU. If Nola's drafted before the 5th round I'd be worried.
Goody, I have no idea what his asking price will be...

Wouldn't say Nola and Goody are likely to LSU. Nola maybe, Goody is probably 50/50.

Also wasn't Baranik projected as a top 10 round pick? That changed?

He's looking like a 10-25 round guy right now.

I would venture to say
Story 95%
Eierman 85%
Cave %75
Nola and Goody 50/50
Story 95%
Eierman 85%
Cave %75
Nola and Goody 50/50

The scary thing is this is the last year before slotted money so teams are probably going to go a tad bit deeper into the wallets.
We are due some f'n luck though in regards to this. I don't think many teams classes and current rosters have taken a beating like LSU's in the last 4-5 years.

Adam, after the above mentoned 5, who do you think are the other guys that get drafted in the later rounds?
Posted on 6/6/11 at 4:52 pm to Adam4848
the Advocate painted a softer picture about Watkins possibly returning the next day
Posted on 6/6/11 at 4:53 pm to Adam4848
I saw that article but then the very next day straight out of Maineiri's mouth he said "we'll have to see about trey watkins" or something to that effect.
Posted on 6/6/11 at 4:53 pm to Adam4848
what's the grade on Nola's arm?
3.5? 4?
3.5? 4?
Posted on 6/6/11 at 4:55 pm to Lester Earl
i had seen in an article recently he had a + fastball and + change, curve/slider was solid but not a + pitch
velocity is low 90's but is known for consistently hitting the zones

Mainieri's waiting to see how hard he's hit with the draft.

On a 1-5 scale, 4.
I'm assuming you're talking about Aaron...
