"GIVE HIM SIX!" Is Not Appropriate?!? Somebody Is Truly Ignorant

Okay, my .gif avatar for years has been a "GIVE HIM SIX" animation. Recently however somebody has removed it, twice, because it is, "not appropriate." This is laughable and sad at the same time. A little history lesson boys and girls:
John Ward, Voice of the Vols for 31 years, called UT football and basketball games. A few of his sayings that are famous to UT fans are, "It's Football Time In Tennessee!" and "Give Him Six! Touchdown Big Orange!"
As you can see, "Give Him Six" means the Vols scored a TD. Not whatever crazy nonsense somebody on TD thinks it means.
I will not use the .gif again but felt I should shine some much needed light on the situation.

"Your avatar was removed because .gif animations are no longer allowed." - This would have sufficed instead of "not appropriate" which is vague.
I have a lot of experience being a mod on various boards and the way you handled this situation tells me a lot.

It may be vague, but "not appropriate" doesn't lose any meaning.
So you put it back up again, instead of asking why? Good move.

First of all - I did not remove your avatar. But...
Animated avatars typically get the boot, and your was animated.
We don't have an 'animated avatar' notification, so I'm guessing that's why you got the 'not appropriate' notification.
Does that clear things up?
