Gorilla ball's more fun to watch, but small ball wins more ballgames if you play it right.

NCAA went a little far with the new bats IMO.

I like the new bats. I think Mainieri went too far in reacting to the new bats.

Most coaches in the NCAA felt the same way he did.

Well, like it or not, Gorilla ball is going to be rare with the bat changes for most college teams.

I agree that most coaches objected to the bat change, but I don't think most started bunting the 2 hole hitter in the first inning when the leadoff man reached base.

This.

Everybody played w/ the same bats...but not all coaches let the new bats get inside their heads the way CPM did.

I really started to get into college baseball when gorilla ball was at it's peak. That's the most entertaining form of baseball to me.

gorilla ball for me...I want to see strategy in pitching and base running, but when a guy swings the bat, i want him to try to knock it into the next state....

I preferred gorilla ball because we used to bash away at that ball. We bashed all those homeruns! Warren Morris bashed his way into our hearts! We can't bash that ball anymore! LSU bashed its way to all those CWS titles just like all us brothers in the bash brigade bash JJ!!!

Bash now!
Bash later!
Bash forever!
