NO LSU players on 1st or 2nd team Preseason All-America list. Only 1 on the 3rd team, none on 4th team. Seriously? This may be the sickest defense in the entire nation..WTF?????

No LSU players on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th team Offense All-American.

NO LSU players on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd team Special Teams All-American list.

Who would you suggest he name all-Americans?

Tyrann Mathieu was easily the most glaring omission on this list. Several others can be debated, but that kid is legit and it was on display in the Cotton Bowl for the nation to see.

It's preseason...

These lists are worthless and not worth anyones attention. If LSU players perform to their capability, the post season honors will take care of themselves.

No to mention in all of this clowns rankings Bama and its players always seem to be tops. His bias is very obvious. TIFWIW.

I played on a HS football team that made the state semi-finals and we didn't have one player who made All State. Their were no stars, but everyone was almost a star. Other teams may have had their marquee players, but the rest of the team often sucked and we would stomp them.

LSU may not have the acknowledged "Big Name Stars" but most of the team is almost a star. So most teams will play you with their "Star" but the rest of their team may suck compared to you. You really shouldn't complain. (the Ducks have a lot of near star players also, maybe not as many as you, but enough for an interesting game)(except your qb's ain't close to being stars)

It's kind of hard to say we have the guys to be on the list. Ryan Baker not getting any love is the only one I have a problem with. Luckily pre season doesn't mean jack shite. Regardless I would rather one crystal ball and 0 all americans than 10 All americans and a "regular" bowl win.

They held Auburn to 254 yards rushing fwiw. We held Auburn to 440 yards and 8.5 yards per carry.

Tigah -- exactly. There's only one recognition, award, trophy, piece of hardware than any LSU player needs to have at the end of the season. That's for EVERY LSU player to be holding that crystal bowl in the Superdome this January.

This is extra stupid by the OP. Who actually deserves to be ranked in the top of their position in the nation at LSU? The only person I can think of is Claiborne. Sure you can take out another CB and put Mathieu there but they aren't going to put 2 CBs from the same school and these other guys have had at least one more year of playing time.

Don't worry, after this year there will be plenty LSU players on there.

Just FYI - not placing someone that played nickel back and wasn't even a starter last year on the pre-season all American list as a sophomore is not a glaring omission.

wait he ranks Landry Jones over Luck?!?!

Now,that is a huge flaw in the whole list b/c its obvious at the most important position.

Guy usually knows his stuff but he has missed on a few here.

BTW, outside of Mo and TRex, LSU doesn't have anyone that stands out for a pre-season list. Just being real. Great team but lacking on the individuals (PRE-SEASON).
