I think it is great the LSU band is getting a new home. However, on Saturday I noticed the facility will nearly eliminate the old band practice field that was a popular parking & tailgating area. All the new facilities are great, but at what point will a parking garage be built?

Wasn't the old Alex Box site supposed to be a parking garage? And I hope they build it soon.

They are always talking about a garage, but it will never happen. We hav too large of a campus for a giant garage to be useful and it would be an eyesore.

The parking garage is being built as we speak. last i saw they were laying down the foundation.

Hopefully it has alot of security or its just gonna be a mugger's paradise/ rape dungeon

there is a construction sign right across from the union with artist renderings of the new parking garage that is currently being built so you may want to rethink that statement.

I understand the need for a parking garage and have heard that Old Alex Box was suppose to be the site for one but I really would rather it somewhere else. I really dont want some monster parking garage next to Tiger Stadium. I think it clutters that area and takes away from TS. But thats just me. I am also not a fan, AT ALL, of the Athletic Building that is already in the TS parking lot. Ugly arse building and definitely take away from the lure of TS. If they could do a parking garage mainly underground right there, I would be all for it. But I highly doubt that is even possibly with the chance of flooding. I dont know where else to put a garage so dont ask, it ain't my job.

can't imagine being stuck in a parking garage after a game. The old folks will have to start leaving games at halftime

The building off highland is choppin hall annex which is going to be the new chemistry building. Now i have no idea what they are building behind broussard hall in that rocky parking lot. Looks like it may be a parking garage.

I agree with what you said about the Athletic Building. It kind of sticks out like a sore thumb, but it's at least conveniently close to TS.

I fail. I knew about that plan, but never thought it would happen.

What was wrong with this place again? Title IX?

Nothing was wrong with it. The softball program just wanted a nice new expensive complex to never fill up with patrons instead of the old one.
