Check the reports from Dockside Bait and other northshore fisherman on rodnreel.com Last weekend the fresh water started to REALLY inundate the area. Some people are saying you can still find a few areas clear water, but it's tough now.

Been to Lake Catherine area twice recently and have hardly had ANY luck. Don't even go out there without live shrimp.

SLidell is on fire. We have limited every trip that the wind hasn't blown us off the water. All on artificial. I couldn't go this week but my buddies went and they had 50 by about 9 am. Don't believe reports that river water has innundated the area, there is some river water but still plenty of fishable area.

Fished out of the Chef this past weekend.

Saturday evening, played around at the bridges, but the wind/dirty water was moving in. Fish had been there ealier, but we didnt' get live bait for the afternoon trip. We did find some BEAUTIFUL water about an hour before dark at the mouth of that inlet going into that OT like subdivision (Lakeshore estates maybe?). Picked up a few in there on artificials.

Sunday, went to straight to the lake. Pulled up to that rig that used to have the big barge on it. Only one other boat in there at the time. Picked up 30 VERY nice trout, mostly on live shrimp, but did manage several on artificials. We maybe measured 2 fish. Most over 2 pounds.

Left there at 9:30, went to Biloxi Marsh, and caught 10 reds quickly.

Also picked up 4 flounder in Biloxi Marsh.

My buddy that fishes down there alot thought it was a little early for the barge rig, but they are there. Fish on the side of the pilings where the barge used to be. Fish were RIGHT on the pilings too. White trout were further out.

Your welcome.

Edit: Fish about halfway down the middle of the pilings.

SOME???? Some river water?

I drive the twinspans/HWY 11 every day. The lake looks like chocolate milk right now. It's ridiculous!

Check out this link from the Lake Ponch Basin Foundation. You can download a powerpoint presentation that shows the growth of the plume over the last 15 days. https://www.saveourlake.org/bonnet-carre.php

I don't drive in Slidell, I can only comment on water conditions on Tuesday that is the last reoprt I had.

There have been people "in the know" on here that have been saying there is river water in slidell since about the second day the bonnet carre was opened. On Tuesday I can say with 100% certainty that there was clean water on some of the bridges and there were trout there.

I can't speak for the HWY 11 or Trestles but this is what it looked like from the Twin Span yesterday. This is looking east towards HWY 90.
