Anyone been watching this season?
I have seen every episode of this series and have to say this season so far is the weiredest.
Without Phil the show just isn't the same, and Jake Harris is one f-up individual.

Picked it up this season after taking the last few off. I am really liking it. The two brothers definitely need an arse kicking. It would be a train wreck if Jake took over the boat, great TV though.

The transformation of Jake has been prototypical of the hard core user. When he first appeared on the show, you could see he was a bright guy...he seemed like he was different...like a guy who possessed the intelligence to do anything he wanted. He father even said as much.
He now seems like a user that has burned his brain out to the point of no return. I predict bad things for him in the future.
I actually have enjoyed this season because it gives a change of pace. I enjoy watching the new captains. For some reason, the Rambling Rose facinates me...it looks like a pirate ship.

I love the show but this year it just seems too staged. What made the show so great was it seemed real.
On the NW Jake and Edgar get into it and then make-up. Same thing on the Kodiak. Also the coverage on each boat has changed dramatically. Since the CM has quit(which is total BS) I think more of the Wizard, NW, and Time Bandit should be shown. The other 2 boats need to earn there way in to the limelight instead of being forced on us IMO.

I agree. The two young captains both piss me off in their own ways. Neither should have more then five minutes per show. Jake/Edgar fight...that was staged since Jake wants to be a captain now.
CM sucks...first off Jake is on some good stuff that is frying his brain. Derrick should have been thrown over at sea. No one would have said anything, not even the camera crew.
The whole Wizard can't catch crab part was probably very untrue. He never goes that long that dry...dramatic effect.

The captain is an annoying douche but it was really funny watching him run around screaming like they were averaging 50+ when in reality it was low teens or even single digits.

I know I still can't believe the whole crew quit.
I saw below freddie was going to work for the Wizard. He is the one I felt bad for the most on the CM. Josh and Jake should have made that captain go red crabbing IMO.

Freddie is a beast. I've always liked him. Josh needs to punch Jake in the face and tell him to clean up.
The FA was on the show I think either two or three seasons ago. Didn't win the fans, and didn't last.

That is shite. In the very begining Derrick said he as going to run the boat "HIS WAY". Jake and Josh agreed to this.
Also I agree that the new captains RR and Seabrook don't need hardly any camera time. Especially the Ramblin Rose. I HATE that captain, he is a whiney little bitch.
I did find it funny on the Seabrook that douche that quit after 3 hours worth of fishing.

I think a lot of guys on crab boats are on shite, if for no other reason than to stay awake. Y'all think Phil just sat up there drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes? If the CM had been catching any crab then there wouldn't have been a problem.

I think that was staged to just make for good TV. Either way Josh and Jake need to realize that they both own a share of the CM and need to become men. Not so much Josh but Jake. Josh needs to sit Jake down and tell him how its gonna be.

So they own 10% which is 5% each and Cornelia (who is she?) owns 90%
